Playing piano
After much considerations, we have finally decided to stop yamaha for Dash, and let him carry on with 1 to 1 piano lesson at our house with Teacher Jasm. Actually, after a long day at childcare, going to yamaha on Monday evening was a bit too tiring for him. He was rather inattentive, and playful during lessons, and Daddy (he was the one accompanying him for the lessons)had a hard time with him. I am thinking since he is enjoying lessons with teacher Jasm, I will just let him continue doing so then, and concentrate on that. I sure hope he can play piano at 3, composes at 5 years old, and has his first concert at 6 years old like Mozart, but I think it is a faraway dream that will never become reality. haha…
I want Dash to learn Piano because I feel that besides doing well academically, one should also has a skill with him/her, like playing piano, singing, drawing or dancing. I do not want my children to be like me, whenever they call for talent performance, I have nothing to display, and I tend to feel rather inferior. So I am exposing Dash to music and art classes, to see which area he is good with, and keen in. I will do so for Violet in future too.
Dash was playing “Bingo” taught by his piano teacher on his own yesterday in the picture below. He had been having lessons with her for about 3 months.

Dash’s first concert experience
We brought Dash to Esplanade to watch his first concert today. The concert name is “Concert for Children – The mozart experience” (for children age 5-12 years old). I wanted to bring Dash to experience different type of performance. But it was a bad choice, as although it was supposed to be concert for children, but there was nothing much interesting for the children to see. Besides seeing a man dressed like a bird singing, two silent drama actor and actress appearing in between, the conductor talking to the actress, and the actress trying to dress and act like mozart, it was just like a normal grand orchestra concert. So most of the younger kids were rather bored hearing the mozart pieces being performed by the orchestra. Worse, Dash fell asleep halfway! haha (me and hubby were sighing, Dash doesn’t seem like he will be a great pianist in future, but it was also partly because he was on drowsy cough medication). So that ended his first concert experience. After that, we went to Tampines Ikea to have our yummy yummmy lunch.
Teacher’s day
Yesterday was a short holiday for me. Too short in fact. haha.
But anyway, in the morning, we brought Dash to see padetrician as he is coughing again. I met ada and anya’s mummy over there at the clinic as her daughter anya was scheduled for injection. Anya is such a smiley girl! So adorable! After that, I just brought the two kids to my mum’s house, and we had lunch at seoul garden. Dash wanted to do artwork, so we went to the art corner there at downtown east to do window art. Dash is better in controlling the spreading of the paints now as compare to when he was young.
