PostHeaderIcon Warriors

I finally had the chance to hold a gathering for all the premiees. It was truely a nice experience, as we got to see how our warriors have grown from just tiny little babies (range from 600grams to less than 2kg) to what they are now. Actually, premiees went through a tough time in their initial stage of life, but I believe they will be bless with forever happiness and good health thereafter, just like what the Chinese likes to say “xian ku hou tian”. Keep it up, all the little warriors! You are the true fighters!

PostHeaderIcon Working hard on abcs

Dash is able to write 123, most of the capital letters, but is still not good with small letters. He is rather confused with whether the letters are left or right (especially for “a”, “b” “d” etc).

Anyway, I am working hard on his abcs now. Now, my hubby and I will test him from a to z everyday. Hope he will be familar with those letters, cause he is going K1 next year. Yes, I am one kiasu parent, and I do believe in you reap what you sow. If you put in efforts in your child’s education, and has done whatever you can to help him/her, he/she should be able to do well in his/her studies. Like some parents whose children are with learning disabilities or even down sydrome, their children are still able to do well cause they put in extra efforts on them. I musn’t be lazy…I have slag for quite some time. I must really be more onzzz…

PostHeaderIcon Christmas at Changi Airport

Yesterday evening, we brought the kids to Changi Airport Terminal 3 as there were some fairs going on (popular, crocs and some others), and there were Christmas events happening there too. We only went to see the big Musical ball and didn’t manage to go to the Big Snow Fantasy (as I forgot where it is located). The big musical ball will open at half hour interval, and there will be Christmas carols and candies coming from the ball. Anyway, we will be going Changi airport hotel stay near end of December, so we should be able to visit the Big Snow Fantasy then.

I bought some assessment books for Dash at the popular fair as I suddenly got inspired by the top PSLE students. I felt if my son is one of those who score 250 and above for PSLE, I will be so glad. Anyway, don’t you find that most of our PSLE top scorers are not local? I do not doubt the amount of money and efforts that those parents have invested on their children to come to Singapore to study. But anyway, I really should put in more efforts in my kids’ education…

We also bought a pair of Crocs scutes for Dash. Well, he loves the shoes, and insisted on us buying for him, though the size is big, and he is not able to wear it now (maybe when he goes K1 or K2).

Anyway, Changi Airport is one of our favorite place to go to, as we find the place not so crowded, and gives us a nice feeling (maybe it reminds us that we are home?) haha.

PostHeaderIcon Sesame Street at compasspoint

Went for lunch with my mum, Dash and Violet at Swensens (after seeing my 10 students PSLE results which was a disappointment…sigh) cause my mum said she wanted to give me a treat for my belated birthday. There was this Sesame street performance going on at Compasspoint, so we just stayed to see. But I didn’t go chop a place in front of the stage, cause I was lazy to queue up with Violet around (she would surely get very cranky), so I just brought the kids and my mum to 2nd level to watch. Well, at least this performance lasted for at least 20 minutes, so quite worth watching, unlike some other performances I saw, which lasted for just 5 or 10 minutes. But as it was near nap time, so Dash was rather tired, plus he was not familar with Sesame characters except Elmo, so he got quite bored after a while…

PostHeaderIcon Wedding

Brought Dash to hubby’s friend wedding lunch last Saturday. It was held at Sentosa Cove One 15 Marina Club. It was my first time attending wedding lunch and not dinner (sorry, me very sua ku) and buffet style somemore. Though the food was not bad, and the durian paste was really yummy, but there was not much variety, and the more popular food were wiped out rather fast, and there was no refill. Anyway, Dash enjoyed seeing the boats by the sea, and eating the food as well. But because the wedding lunch started rather late about 2pm, so by the time Dash finished eating, it was about nap time, and poor Dash fell asleep. Hubby’s friends are slowly settling down one by one, so we should be expecting more weddings in the next few years. Hubby told me he was among the first few to settled down so soon, and the first to have 3 kids already. haha.
