My colleague brought students for an exchange program in China, and bought this back for my kids. It is soooo cute! I love it, cause it is so amazing to see the patterns changing when you view inside. This thing is also not easy to find in Singapore, and it is so traditional. Thanks meng meng!

I love to see the kids play together, even though most of the time, Violet is biting the toys instead of playing. Recently, Dash loves his sister more and more, he will use his head to rub against Violet’s head (sayang her), and tells her “I love you so much!” Last time, when we asked him, could we give mei mei away, he would say “yes!”, but now he will tell us “no!”. When we asked him “can we beat mei mei?”, he replied “no, cause mei mei will cry!”

Violet also loves her brother, cause she will watch him wherever he goes, and smiles or laughs with him around.

Hope Dash and Violet will grow up to be close to each other even though they are of opposite genders.

I happened to come across this and bought 3 tickets at just $1 each. It was actually quite cheap, as there was goodie bag (consisted of one passion shopping bag, one tiny mooncake, one lantern, some peanuts and sweets), and activities like moon cake making, lantern making, and paper cutting for free. I just let Dash tried the lantern making (hubby and violet were sitting down waiting for us), as it was the easiest among all. Anyway, the lantern making took quite some time (think about 45 mins), and a lot of people were waiting impatiently…actually Dash was one of the lucky one to be the first batch to do the lantern. We did not stay there for too long, as the place was rather crowded with people and stuffy. We met Javier’s Daddy n mummy there, and went to compasspoint together. Overall, it was a boring event. But never mind, we managed to get the free goodie bag and tried out lantern making all at just $1.

After dropping Dash off to school in the morning, I had to quickly rush back to attend to the cleaning aunty whom was coming at 9am. It was a bad idea not to have gotten breakfast on my way back as my growling stomach suggested. Anyway, reached home and settled myself down in front of the computer checking some office mails with the little one sitting comfortably on my lap.

She likes typing obviously, as she tried her hands (not fingers) on the poor keyboard, eager to help me with my email to my boss… Hmm. As I tried to move her away, she turned her target to the “mickey” mouse which was placed on my right. What she did next was really abusive… She tried to bite off the mouse’s tail!!!! Perhaps she wanted to help change it to a wireless mouse. Well, thinking that it would be nice to have one, I left her to work on it for while as I tried to finish my email… LOL..

Next up was my nokia phone, I was foolish to think that she wanted to admire the wallpaper of her Kor Kor on my mobile and let her have her hands on it, but she threw it on the floor the very next moment!!! Argh… My phone… Ok, that gives me another reason to buy iphone sooner.

Aunty came and tidied up the house while Violet actually slept twice during the 3 hours cleaning session. Phew, no broken phones, tortured mice.

While aunty was working, we were casually talking and I remembered her telling me about children:
男孩子有事的时候才找你, 没事时都不找.
女儿有事没事都会找你!

After she left, I fell asleep for 30 mins before waking up to realize it was time to feed the little one. Poor violet, daddy is too lazy to cook porridge for you, so off you go with more formula milk… Ok, I will cook myself some CP wanton noodles. This cha bor is so sticky when awake, as I had to virtually use one hand to cook my noodles, and the other to hold her (same goes for eating). Even when I did my big business, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… is all the time I was allowed, cause Violet was wailing outside my toilet door harassing me… Well, I had entertained the idea of her sitting on my lap while I P….O….O…., but I guess that was too “grossiful”. LOL.

That’s my morning alone with my girl. What an adventure right?

Dash’s birthday is coming in October, so I spend some time packing the goodie bags I have prepared for his classmates. I have wanted to involve Dash in the packing, he managed to pack one, then happily took the yoyo and car and ran away. Anyway, I have prepared six things for the goodie bag: wheel yoyo, paper glasses, one mcqueen tattoo, toy car, mcqueen crayon and one mcqueen pencil, all car stuff! Hope his classmates like them! We will be getting a mcqueen cake from swensens. I was a bit hesitated initially cause it is an ice cream cake, but then eventually think once a year mah, never mind lar…
