Birthday gift for Dash – a new bike

Dash’s birthday is coming in October. Yesterday, Daddy and I went to Giant to buy a bike for him as he already outgrows his old bike. This bike costs $59.90 (Thetiredmummy, yours is only $49 which is really a good buy leh, think our bikes the same right?). It is Daddy’s birthday gift for Dash. For Dash’s birthday, I have booked a 2 days 1 night stay at Orchid Country Club, and will be bringing Dash to have fun there as he loves going to Mei Mei de fang jian (nice rooms). I have purposely chosen a rather ulu place instead of hotels so as to avoid the crowds and foreigners (don’t think foreigners will stay at Orchid Country Club, ha!).
I am still rather phobia of H1N1 actually…
Anyway, last year, I have given him the best birthday gift ever, his Violet Mei Mei…well, don’t know whether Dash thinks so! ha!
Violet’s progress…
Violet is having fun slamming our coffee table.
My little princess is now 7 months old, and is getting more smiley (though still cries a lot). She is finally able to chuckle, and to crawl forward slightly (likes a worm) and backwards (very good at that). She can “walk” by moving her feet forward left and right with us holding on to both her arms. She is also able to move around in walker in any direction she wants, and to grab whatever thing she sees to put in her mouth. Finally, she has her two little small teeth starting to show in her lower gum. Oh yah, she has more hair now…
My two kiddies lazing around on a Sunday evening!
Dash’s progress
Dash is learning to sing lots of songs from Cherie Hearts, be it English or Chinese songs. I heard him singing “candle on the water”, “han xiu cao” etc. In the past when he was in faith educare, I seldom heard him singing, except for the daily prayer song before meals. ha!
His vocabularies have also expanded, like he is able to say ” I just saw the mouse on the television.” He is able to use “saw” which I am rather impressed….and many more others.
I think he is really learning in Cherie Hearts…this friday their speech and drama class (in school) is having an excursion. Hope he enjoys it.
