PostHeaderIcon Goodbye Faith Hello Cherie

Last day in Faith Educare for Dash today. I send the cakes over, and gave Dash’s friends the mickey mouse stationary sets as souvenir. Dash said goodbye to his teachers and friends there. He didn’t know what was happening though. Actually, he was quite happy in Faith educare as most of the teachers were rather kind to him, even the principal. But sadly, he really fall sick too often there. Hope he will stay healthy and enjoys his time in Cherie Hearts school.

SAHD = Stay at home Dad

Haha, in our house, the roles are reversed. Daddy takes care of Violet most of the time, changes her diapers and feeds her, while I takes care of Dash. Anyway, Daddy will be staying at home these few days to take care of Violet himself, cause I have “issued” quarantine letter to his parents. Why? Because their Indonesia relatives came to Singapore on Thursday and went to his parents’ house. Actually Violet had also came into contact with them. sigh…praying hard now. If you do not know, Indonesia has became one of the infected countries. You will say, a lot of countries are also infected countries what, but if you are a teacher like me, you will know that infected countries do not simply means that there are cases of H1N1. It means that students and teachers who come back from those places will need to be issued leave of absence for 7 days by MOE.  So far countries like indonesia, thailand, mexico, japan, hongkong etc are infected countries. Just as today, Singapore is an infected country too! ha!

Anyway, because Dash had went through surgery before plus his immune system is extremely weak, also Violet is only 5 months, so I really cannot risk having them get infected (as you would have heard that people with weak immune systems are most likely to suffer most from H1N1). Common flus to them are already very jialat, H1N1 will be worse. Furthermore, you never know when H1N1 will start to become deadly, as diseases can change its forms every now and then. So no choice, I have to stop letting my in laws take care of Violet.

So eventually, Daddy took leave to care for her cause I can’t take leave, as a few of my colleague are being issued leave of absence, and we are lacking of manpower. So from tomorrow onwards, Daddy will be a Stay at home Dad. ha!

Honestly, I am really very afraid of H1N1. I have cancelled trips to zoo and snow city (free tickets by my sister) because those places have lots of foreigners. I have withdrew Dash from Creative Play and Learn class due to no temperature taking there. For the rest of the weeks, I think we will spend most of our time at home intead of going anywhere. I am just one Singaporean who can’t carry on my life as usual due to H1N1.

Please let this H1N1 be over soon!

Prepared this small little gift for Dash’s classmates (bought from value shop at $1.05), and ordered some cakes from emicakes for the staff there. Dash’s last day in Faith educare will be next Tuesday, but he is having flu and cough now (yes, NOT AGAIN!!!), not too sure if will be sending him there for the last two days…sigh.

PostHeaderIcon End of Yamaha little notes class

Today was the end of Yamaha little notes class for Dash. He had attended Little notes class for half a year already, and will move on to Music Wonderland starting from 6th July. He enjoyed himself very much during Yamaha lessons, always asking me to bring him to the class. They had a little concert in their classroom today, and Dash could sing and play the triangle and bells well! I am so proud of him! Hope he will enjoy music wonderland lessons too!

PostHeaderIcon Meet parents session

Met Dash’s teachers from Faith Educare as today is meet parents day. The Chinese teacher had good words of him but the English did not comment much as she said he was often not in school. Anyway, the teachers feedback to me that Dash has short attention span, and would sometimes shout for no reason during English lesson. He also likes to copy what his classmates are doing (like his classmate used the mattress cover to cover the head, he followed without knowing it was wrong). Well, I must take note of these and monitor him again. Overall, the teachers said Dash can read and speak well. and have no learning difficulty or behavioral problems (these are my main concerns).

Dash’s report card and some of his work in school…
