PostHeaderIcon Immunisation certificate

- September 2nd, 2010 by Mummy -

Wow, look at the long lists of injection that Violet had taken. haha, which includes chickenpox, rotavirus, pneumococcal etc.

She took her injections at kids clinic which is a private clinic so they have this immunisation certificate. Dash doesn’t have one, as he took his at polyclinic.

PostHeaderIcon Teacher’s day

- September 2nd, 2010 by Mummy -

Yesterday was a short holiday for me. Too short in fact. haha.

But anyway, in the morning, we brought Dash to see padetrician as he is coughing again. I met ada and anya’s mummy over there at the clinic as her daughter anya was scheduled for injection. Anya is such a smiley girl! So adorable! After that, I just brought the two kids to my mum’s house, and we had lunch at seoul garden. Dash wanted to do artwork, so we went to the art corner there at downtown east to do window art. Dash is better in controlling the spreading of the paints now as compare to when he was young. Look at the dino he did yesterday, and the car he did when he was about 2-3 years, much nicer now.

Beautiful cupcakes right? Sorry, I am not so talented. They were made by my colleague cum neighbour. Hee. She is very good with making cakes, and I asked her to help me make 20 cupcakes for the teachers and staff in Dash’s school and we will be bringing over today.

Comparing my two kiddos, they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

For Dash, when he was about one year old, he was slower in motor skills, he walked at 16-17 months, and was not good with motor skills, like using a spoon to scoop up small things. But he was fast with language, he could speak before he was one year old, and could speak quite a bit before he was two. During classes, however, he would not participate much, and just watched what others were doing.

For Violet, she was better in motor skills. She could walk at about one year old, and and scooped up porridge by herself using spoon before she was a year old. She could understand instructions well, and would participate actively in class. However, she is rather slow in language. Right now, she can only say one to two words syllables, and simple words like those she needs to use daily. Other than that, she can’t speak much.

But one thing in common, both are not afraid of strangers, and both love their gong gong (my hubby’s Dad) very much.

No matter what are their strengths and weaknesses, they are equally important to me. Both are my precious darlings.

PostHeaderIcon New toy for Dash – learning world flags

- August 29th, 2010 by Mummy -

I bought this from Motherhood forum bulk purchase, an interesting toy that teaches kids to recognise world flags, and the geographical positions of the main countries in the world. I am so happy to see this kind of toy as I am somebody who is very weak in geography! Dash enjoyed looking at the different flags, and placing them on the right positions, and my darling Violet loves to swing the small flags around. It is a good toy worth investing.
